Biography

Amberly’s love for singing Gospel music is nothing new.  It started when she was very young.   “Victory in Jesus” was her first ‘recording’ at 18 months old, and it was tape-recorded by her grandmother as Amberly sang in the bathtub!   “As a child,” Amberly states, “my grandparents, sister, cousins, and I would spend time together each summer at the piano, or putting on ‘concerts’ for our grandparents, neighbors, or folks at the nursing homes.  We’d have various southern gospel quartets playing loudly in the car and we’d be singing the different parts/harmonies at the top of our lungs.  I always wanted to be like those Gospel groups!  The Cathedrals, The Kingsmen, Gold City, and Greater Vision, were just a few of the groups that really influenced my love for singing, performing and Gospel music in general.”  She continues, “As a child, I’d sit and watch their concerts (then on VHS tapes) for hours, imagining myself on that stage and longing to sing those songs to those audiences.  It really is a dream of mine that I had always hoped to live out someday.”

It looks like “someday” may get here sooner than later.  While Amberly remains involved in various ministries at her Church, she is excited to share her testimony, and God’s amazing love for us - the amazing love that He showed through Jesus Christ on the cross.  “I want to be used of God to share the Gospel message through my music and concerts to reach people.”  Smiling, Amberly continues, “And the best part about it that I get to do this with my family by my side.  My husband, Jeff, and I have been married for 9 years.  We have enjoyed serving the Lord together, and love that our two children, Anna (age 6) and Jackson (age 4), love to sing and be involved with our ministries.  Their love and support are priceless to me; I could not ask for more.” 

Amberly has watched God open doors for her in the past couple years that she never dreamed possible.  “It humbles me to see what The Lord is doing through me and this music.  He is still using my first CD, ‘Simply Stated,’ to reach people and I’m so excited to see what He’s going to do with my newest CD, ‘Blessed’.  It’s been quite a journey so far, and I hope that each of you will be praying for me.  Come along with me for the ride!  I hope to see you all at one of my concerts soon!”
